What are the symptoms of alzheimers?
This is in relation to the question I asked earlier about my mother and her outbursts, arguing, and accusations.
I’m starting to wonder if it’s the beginning of alzheimers disease?
If so I fear my father and I have a LONG road to travel. I know of another relative that went through it and it wasn’t pretty.
If it is alzheimers setting in what are our options at this early stage of it? How do we get her help when she thinks we’re just against her and SHE’S the victim? Getting a diagnosis is impossible.
It was suggested once and only once before that she seek the help of a professional (doctor, phsychiatrist, couselor, etc..) she got so angry and argumentative that she smashed a skillet down on the glass top stove and shattered it.
My father and I are at our wits end with this now.
What can we do without sacrificing our own way of living?

the relative I said who went through alzheimers was also combative and acusational in the beginning. That’s why I asked. I don’t know the exacts of alzheimers, but I do know that it’s just not memory loss

none of us are DR’S for sure… just take her to Dr if you cant do it or get her to go willingly have some kind of intervention ..if she is bad and needs help go to all extremes…..
P.S its to bad some people are so self fish and think of their own pain that they will have to suffer because someone they “love” is sick and suffering. its so easy put her away throw her away after all you and dad just cant change your life style for her. Dammm her any way for getting sick… so inconvenient for you
