What is going to happen to my grama in last stage Alzheimers? How long?

She has been taken from the nursing home and to the hospital for being unable to swallow food. It’s going into her lungs instead. My mom sugar-coats everything and is trying to protect me. She just told me over the phone my grampa refused any kind of feeding tubes or treatment.

So basically she’s going to starve to death right? Can someone just tell me straight up? Thanks.

Exercise equipment for fit Alzheimers patient?
Wednesday, May 4th, 2011greengo asked:
I need something small, stable, and simple to use to help an Alzheimers patient exercise during the winter. He lives in a small room in assisted living. His body is fine, but his brain doesn’t work. I am thinking maybe like a stair stepper or a bike, but it has to be pretty small since his room isn’t that big. He loves to exercise and needs a routine. Links to products? Ideas for activities? The staff can tell him “time for your exercise” but they don’t supervise.
